About Us

G’day to all the new residents on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.

Yes, it’s true, we believe this is the best place in Australia, if not the world, to live.
Since most of (Ons Mense) the people on the Sunshine Coast are, in one way or another, related either through friendships or business relations, we could assist new residents to this area in ways that could make your new start just that little bit easyer.

Just to make it easier on you, so that you don’t waste time looking for the catch, we are not going to charge you money, however you are more than welcome to make a donation, if you wish.
This site is a friendly and free service to assist fellow Ex-Southern Africans to connect with one another through private and business relations, which could make your start on the Sunshine Coast a little bit smoother.
Immigration is by no means easy, even relocating interstate is a challenge however we all did it, some used migration agents and others did it all by them selves. Some have good memories of their immigration process and others had horrific experiences, what ever your situation, if you do the best you can, everything should work out at the end.  Like they say, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

I will be the first to admit that we don’t know everything but, we might be able to assist in areas like information on schooling, where to shop for specific products, how the different services work, areas to live in and even assisting in finding the right church for you and your family.
Whether we hear from you or not, I will take this opportunity to welcome you to this beautiful area of the world. If you enjoy Rugby, Formula One Racing, Golf combined with braaivleis (BBQ) you will surely fit in, not to mention the beautiful beaches and the surf.
Catch ya later.

The information on this site is based on peoples perspective and does not necessary reflect the full truth, we are by no means immigration agents or do we supply any professional information or assistance. It is always every individuals own responsibility to do their own research and to make decisions based on what they believe is correct.
Don’t take every little bit of advice as the only option, or even the best option, use it as a guideline in assisting you with settling in as well as with your decision making process.

  1. Hello! I got an extreme bout of “homesick’ last week, and decided to Google… it’s kinda odd really coz I work with heaps of Saffers, but it’s the social side of things that I’m missing – just to be with people I don’t have to explain from the very beginning. I’m in Australia on a 457, for at least the next 3.5 years. I live on the Sunshine Coast (currently on Lake Kawana) and I’m lus to kuier. I guess there must be others, and I’m so chuffed I found this site. Ek is definitif n Englsman (vanaf Zimbabwe) but lived all over SA for 30 yrs – so I guess I could be called SAfr’an. Anyhow, thanks for creating the site – you gave me hope to pull me out of this feeling that I’m floating in a very big ‘uncomfortable’ sea.

  2. I am new to the Sunshine Coast and would like to organize some events for stay at home mums with kids. Could I use your site as a notice board?
